Maine Law Announces Public Interest Fellowships

PORTLAND, Maine – Peter Pitegoff, Dean at the University of Maine School of Law, has announced the recipients of student fellowships for the summer of 2012, plus other student awards that have been issued outside the graduation awards cycle.

Funds raised through the Maine Association of Public Interest Law (MAPIL) auction on April 5, combined with Law School funds and other donations, support the array of summer fellowships for students working in the public interest, Pitegoff said.

“This impressive list of placements and awards reflects the valuable contribution our students provide to the bench, bar, and community,” he said.
