Center for Oceans and Coastal Law
The Center supports all aspects of oceans and coastal law teaching in the University of Maine School of Law. Available courses cover the law of the sea, oceans law and policy, admiralty law, environmental law, maritime security law, Geographic Information Systems [GIS], international law, comparative law, and advanced topics in maritime and oceans law. Each Spring the Center conducts a maritime law course jointly taught to students at Maine Law and in Hong Kong in real time using teleconference technology. The Center is home to the Maritime/Oceans Law Concentration in the law school’s LL.M. program.
